Photoshop Gradient Adjustment Layer

Select the layer that contains the figure. After i do that, the appropriate properties panel will pop up and the adjustment layer will be added to the layers panel. That orange circle is an adjustment layer.

This is unfortunate because it is really useful for creating richly colored, yet subtly toned image effects including mimicking traditional cross processed looks. To make the adjustment layer affect all layers below it, select the adjustment layer. I can not, for the life of me, figure out how to move and scale an adjustment layer.
